Dissolved Oxygen Sensor Principle of Operation

The fluorescence dissolved oxygen sensor operates on the principle of active fluorescence quenching by specific substances in physics. A blue light emitted by a light-emitting diode (LED) illuminates the fluorescent material on the inner surface of the cap, stimulating the fluorescent substances. This stimulation results in the emission of red light. By detecting the phase difference between the red and blue light and comparing it with the internal calibration value, the concentration of oxygen molecules can be calculated. Additionally, the final value is automatically compensated for by temperature and pressure.

  • Avoid exposing the inner surface of the fluorescent cap to sunlight.
  • Please do not touch the fluorescent membrane with your hand.
  • Avoid applying any mechanical stress (pressure, scratches, etc.) directly to the fluorescent membrane during use.
